About Kati

My name is Kati and I am the creator of my Ritual Moves, an embodiment platform for ritualized movement. I am an internationally certified Pilates instructor (member of Pilates Method Alliance)  and a trauma-informed certified Somatic Practitioner and Somatic Movement Educator.

My personal movement journey began as a competitive cheerleader and dancer, with the eventual discovery of the Pilates method. I soon after discovered the endless healing benefits of somatic therapy and am now excited to share what I have found in my own healing journey with my clients.

My work takes place both at my physical reformer Pilates studio, Pilates People in Austin, TX, as well as this virtual movement space, Ritual Moves. I am experienced in teaching clients both with little movement experience, often post injury or with chronic conditions, as well as with specialist professional movers.

I strive to help you reconnect to your body, your breath, your mind and your relationship with self both through moving meditation and sweaty workouts.

I work with those who are focused and committed to improving their movement skills as well as their relationship to their physical body and emotional body, regardless of whether they are new to movement or long-time movers.

Movement at Ritual Moves is meant to be easily applied to a daily routine, or a ritual of sorts, without the pressure of typical exercise regimens that can weigh heavy on the mind and body. Almost all workouts at Ritual Moves can be done daily or in conjunction with other movement practices, and if not daily—for the more intense workouts, certainly weekly.
